I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 20+ years experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy for a diverse array of adult clients dealing with anxiety, trauma and other stress related issues.
While I work with people from all backgrounds, I have expertise working with military veterans, medical professionals, and individuals working in academic settings.
I started my career at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC as part of a clinical research team examining the use of virtual reality exposure therapy for the treatment of combat-related PTSD in military service members and veterans. I subsequently held clinician educator faculty positions in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and Rush University Medical Center where I provided outpatient CBT with a focus on anxiety and PTSD and trained psychiatry residents and psychology interns in the provision of psychotherapy. I also held administrative positions at UIC and continued to collaborate with researchers as a study therapist for grant funded clinical trials.
